Life in Fukui

Campus Area

Living in Fukui costs relatively cheaper in Japan. There are many apartments around each campus and most of them are reasonable. If you live in one of the university dormitories, living expense is not so high.

Comment from Zhang Mingda

Life in Fukui is really comfortable. The air is fresh, water is clean, and transportation is convenient. Living cost is not so high compared to larger cities in Japan, though cooking ingredients are rather expensive. I also enjoy the space in my dormitory because I don’t have to share a room with others like I did in my home university in China. On weekends, I like to take a walk to Asuwa River or take a train from the nearby station to Mikuni beach area. Fukui is a relaxing and easy city to live in.
