8月30日の豪雨につきまして学長メッセージ

8月30日の豪雨により、福井県嶺北地方を中心に広い範囲で大きな被害が発生しております。

被災された皆様、また、今なお不安な状況の中で過ごされている皆様に、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

福井大学では現在、学生、児童、生徒、教職員をはじめ、本学に関係する皆様の安否や被害状況の把握に努めております。また、附属病院につきましては、現在も通常どおり病院機能を維持しております。

これまでに経験したことのない雨量を記録しておりますことから、今後、河川の増水や土砂災害など、二次的な被害にも十分警戒する必要があります。皆様におかれましては、最新の情報に十分注意し、ご自身とご家族の安全を最優先に行動されますようお願いいたします。

本学といたしましても、関係機関と連携しながら、必要な対応を進めてまいります。

一日も早く平穏な日常が戻りますことを、心よりお祈り申し上げます。

Message from the President Regarding the Heavy Rainfall

The recent heavy rainfall on August 30th has caused extensive damage across the Reihoku area of Fukui Prefecture and surrounding regions.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected by the disaster and to those who are still facing difficult and uncertain circumstances.

At the University of Fukui, we are currently working to assess the safety and situation of our students, pupils, children, faculty and staff, and all others affiliated with the University. At the same time, the University Hospital continues to maintain its medical functions.

As this rainfall has reached unprecedented levels, there is a continued risk of secondary hazards, including rising river levels and landslides. I urge everyone to closely monitor the latest information and to put their own safety and that of their families first.

The University of Fukui will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities and take all necessary measures in response to the situation.

I sincerely hope that normal life will return to all those affected as soon as possible.
